Even when zeroed in on the e*CMR itself the standard data element set is greater than the core e*CMR. It has the data specifications to get the most of leaving paper CMR notes behind.
UN/CEFACT eCMR data element standard covers a lot more than just an electronic consignment note.
Data interoperability is key to making the most of UN e*CMR. The European commission eFTI will make this interoperability mandatory. The Gordian e*CMR mediation schema will bridge the two.
